Black Reclaimed Jentique Storage Kitchen/Dining Sideboard Cabinet
An original British classic: a Jentique kitchen or dining storage cabinet has been artfully reclaimed and upscaled in black and with a diamond inspired front. Jentique began as a company in the 1930s and saw much success in the 1950s and 1960s with its tapping into the popular mid-century modern furniture of the time. This particular cabinet envisages this ideal with its multi-storage capability including a velvet lined cutlery draws and 2 larger storage points infused with a classy design and standing on legs which make it seem it is floating off the ground.
This particular design style was influenced by the Danish influence, from the likes of G-Plan for example, which swept through the UK and Europe at the time. This time-less design was introduced to renovate the standard, stocky furniture of the 30s and 40s to create a modern and ‘airy’ alternative to suit the modern household. The design offered this by sitting upon its raised legs and offering the multi-storage capability whilst having a finish and design that would fit in any room.
The cabinet is in excellent condition for its age; the black paint is in great vintage condition, as is the diamond patterned front. The velvet interior of the pull-draws is excellent as is the interior of the cabinet.
The cabinet measure (in length, depth and height): 167.50cm x 44.5cm x 74cm.
A classic and sought-after design, Jentique pieces were only produced in small quantities and are extremely desirable today due to their modern look and exceptional quality. Such a unique finish on this particular example will help with the interest value of this cabinet.
