Fritz Hansen Vintage Original Arne Jacobsen Series 7 Plywood Chair
An already esteemed architect, Arne Jacobsen propelled himself into the furniture design history books with a range of amazing designs during the 1950's including this, the series 7 chair.
The series 7 was Jacobsen's second successful project of plywood chairs following that of the Ant Chair. He went on of course to design the infamous Egg and Swan chairs for the Copenhagen Royal Hotel.
These original Fritz Hansen versions of the series 7 are in a nice used original condition in very good order. They are in a very nice natural oak veneer.
The wooden chair tops show some signs of use but generally are in a very nice condition and a good clean will likely restore them.
Original base again show some signs of age related wear only and is in good condition.
The series 7 chair was and is still meticulously made by Fritz Hansen to a very high standard. They are however quite widely available. This means that the are an affordable classic on the one hand although not likely a growing investment on the other, with the exception of earlier versions.
