Product Description

A vintage Venice stamped Herman Miller Eames Peach arm shell is absolutely stunning and looks even better on its original black DAX base. The unique natural patina gives this shell a subtle burst of colour which is accentuated by the stark black of the original DAX base.

Herman Miller moved production of the Eames shells to its Venice factory when they bought out Zenith Plastics to combine the financial and production means of creating the iconic shells. The factory soon became the Eames’s own work-shop, producing many various artistic pieces including the Powers of Ten film.

Being from the Venice factory, this shell is one of the earlier versions of these iconic pieces. The wondrous spider-web of fibres crisscrossing through the shell is a good indication this shell is an early example.
